Education Minister delivers Bahrain’s address at ISF General Assembly meeting

<p>Bahrain hosted the General Assembly meeting of the International School Sport Federation (ISF) today, with delegations from 92 countries attending. <br /> Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, the Minister of Education, delivered the Kingdom’s address, conveying the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He expressed appreciation to His Majesty for the royal patronage of the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024. <br /> The minister welcomed the ISF delegation and all participating countries, highlighting that Bahrain’s support, under the leadership of His Majesty, and the presence of so many participants reflect the strong belief in the power of sport to unite people from different cultures and build bridges between communities. <br /> Youssef Belqasmi, First Vice President of ISF, emphasised that the meeting is an important step towards strengthening cooperation among member countries. He praised Bahrain s outstanding organisation of the event and the facilities provided, which demonstrate its capability to host high profile international events. <br /> Dr. Shaikh Saqr bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Schools and College Athletic Association, noted Bahrain s commitment to developing sports in educational institutions under the guidance of His Majesty the King. He highlighted the importance of the general assembly in exchanging expertise and learning from successful experiences in other member countries. <br /> The meeting was held with active engagement from all delegations. The previous meeting s minutes, held in Mexico last year, were approved, and discussions were held on the ISF budget for 2024-2025, along with future activities and events. Members also shared suggestions and ideas during the session. </p>
